They always say the same thing.

“How will you answer to God?”

Rabbis, Priests, Mullahs and more. But I think that most people will be asking, “How will God answer to me?”

One will say, “For my father’s death.” Another will say, “For my son’s cancer.” Another will cry, “For not stopping the bombs from falling over my city.”

I myself have questioned God on various occasions. We all want answers. We all have the same feeling of, “Where were you when I needed you?” Call it blasphemous to question the goodness of God but I call it human.

You cannot tell someone that they are loved by the creator of the universe when simultaneously they are going through a difficult time and the creator, while capable, is doing nothing about it.

I think I’ve finally understood that, like parents will allow for children to learn on their own, God let’s us learn as well. And most things that I have blamed on God were actually the fault of men.

Just as the rich man saw the child dressed in rags and questioned God, “Why do you allow this to happen?” God told him, “I was going to ask you the same.”

We must be the difference we want to see. Whether you believe in a God or not, to do good is not something that needs to be questioned.
